Storefront of Encanto Colombia in Saltillo's historic center

Saltillo, Coahuila

A little piece of Colombia, in the heart of Saltillo

You don't just eat here. We take you on a tour of our four themed rooms —Bogotá, Barranquilla, Medellín, and Cali— explaining every dish before you order.

Our Story

A dream full of flavor, color, and love

Carlos, a mechanical engineer and Colombian-Venezuelan at heart, and Stephy, a business administrator and proud barranquillera, dreamed of sharing the best of their homeland with Mexico. On May 1, 2022, that dream opened its doors: Encanto Colombia.

They both came to Mexico eight years ago looking for opportunities. When Carlos's industrial projects stalled during the pandemic, Stephy was offered a job in Saltillo and they took the leap. They fell in love with the weather, the calm, and the warmth of the people, saw that the city was missing a Colombian corner, and that's where Encanto Colombia was born.

The name is inspired by the Disney film Encanto: a place that celebrates the flavors, colors, and joy of Colombia — not competing with the wonderful Mexican food they also love, but complementing it. Today, in this 110-year-old house in Saltillo's historic center, there's more laughter, more seasoning, and more joy every single day.

💛 That every guest lives a different experience.
💙 That they discover the richness of Colombian culture.
❤️ That Encanto Colombia becomes the number-one name for Colombian food in Mexico.

FAQ

Everything you want to know before you visit

Here we answer the questions we get most, so you arrive ready to enjoy — no fuss, just plenty of Colombian flavor.

What are your hours?

We're open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm, and Sundays from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm.

Do I need a reservation?

A reservation isn't required — we also welcome walk-ins. For groups or celebrations, we recommend messaging us on WhatsApp.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, bank transfer, and card.

Do you provide invoices (facturas)?

Yes. If you need a factura, just ask our team.

Do you have vegetarian options?

Yes. We offer a Vegetarian Special of the Day, a chef's creation made with fresh plant-based ingredients. Ask about availability when you visit.

Do you have a kids' menu?

Yes. Our Mini Parceros menu includes nuggets with fries, mini arepas, chicken strips, and pancakes.

What is bandeja paisa?

It's one of Colombia's most iconic dishes: a hearty combination of beans, rice, meats, egg, plantain, and sides — several flavors in a single plate.

Do you offer takeout or delivery?

Yes, we offer takeout. For delivery, check the platforms available in your area.

Do you host birthday celebrations?

Yes. We celebrate Colombian-style, with lots of joy. Message us to arrange your visit or your group's.

How filling is each dish?

It depends on what you order, and it's worth knowing beforehand. The arepas and starters are made for tasting and sharing: one on its own is not a full meal. The main dishes are a full meal, and the platters state how many they serve (2, 4 or 5). If you arrive really hungry, ask your server which one works best — they'll tell you straight.
